Oliver Goldsmith once stated
"People seldom improve when they have no other model
but themselves to copy."
Fortunately for myself, I
have had two of the best to look up to and receive advice
from. This past year, I set a goal of qualifying for the
Provincial High School Rodeo Finals, held in Ponoka, AB.
While I had many people help me out along the way, Rory
and Tatum Patten were one of the biggest factors in
me reaching this goal. For as long as I can remember,
they have helped me out, whether it be giving me a ride to
the rodeos or the numerous hours spent in the practice
pen. They have always been there, never asking for
anything in return. It is to them that I owe much of my
success, and without them, I would not be where I am
today. While I cannot express how much I appreciate all
they have done for me, I will forever be grateful. Tatum,
I wish you the best of luck in your college career at
Hobbs, New Mexico. I know you will kick some butt! I miss
you... my practice buddy!!! And Rory, thanks for always
being there. I have learned so many valuable lessons from
you! Hope to see you in the practice pen soon.
Love, Randi

I would like to thank Elizabeth
Richardson and family for the use of 'Pete" in the goat
tying this year. Without you, I would not be doing so
well. I appreciate all you help and the use of your amazing
horse! I am looking forward to the spring!
Also, Randi says a HUGE thank-you to her
Grandma for helping with the purchase of her new barrel horse "Scram". She
couldn't have done it without you!!!
